Just been having a conversation with a good friend of mine who sells on Shopify and asking what sort of audiences they should set up for Facebook, what are the best ones to set up. I gave him a list of three that they should really get set up and get set up straight away so they can start using. The reason you wanna get some custom audiences created on Facebook is it’s gonna help you drive traffic later on and help bring those customers who are buying back into your web store and get them buying more often.
Let’s have a look at the three lists you set up. The first one, which is quite simple, is website visitors, so anybody that’s come to your web store, get them onto a custom audience so that you can continue the conversation with them.
The second is cart abandonment, so anybody that’s got to the cart but hasn’t decided to purchase there and then. You can get them back into the store and then repurchasing quite simply with a little bit of Facebook advertisement.
The third is the hyper-buyers, people that buy more often and buy quite regularly, just to keep them coming back to the store and wanting to buy more and more.
There are guides out there on how to set each of these up. Just have a look. So you’re probably using Shopify and something like MailChimp. Both of those sites have really good articles on how to set up the custom audiences and the events.
